About Calculate Your Grade

Calculate Your Grade is a free set of grade and GPA calculators built to take the guesswork out of your marks. There’s no sign-up, nothing you type is stored, and the math is shown on every page so you can trust the answer.

Our mission

Grades cause a surprising amount of stress, and a lot of it comes down to one question: where do I actually stand? Working that out by hand means juggling weights, percentages, and a GPA scale that changes from one school to the next. Our goal is simple. Give students, parents, and teachers a clear, accurate answer in a few seconds, for free, without asking anyone to create an account or hand over personal information.

Who is behind Calculate Your Grade

S. M. Mahmudul Hasan, founder of Calculate Your Grade

S. M. Mahmudul Hasan

Founder · Engineer and English instructor · Dhaka, Bangladesh

Calculate Your Grade is built and run by Mahmudul Hasan. His background is in engineering, from hands-on project work and a research thesis now under review for publication to everyday tools like MATLAB and Excel, so getting the numbers right is second nature to him. He also teaches. As an English and IELTS instructor, he spends his days planning lessons, assessing student performance, and explaining scores and band results to learners.

That combination is the whole point. An engineer’s habit of double-checking keeps the formulas correct, and a teacher’s day-to-day experience with grades and scores keeps the tools genuinely useful. Mahmudul designs and develops the site himself, so the math, the privacy choices, and the plain-English explanations all come from one person who cares about getting them right.

How we keep the calculators accurate

Every tool here uses the standard grading math schools actually use: weighted averages for course grades, the common 4.0 GPA scale with its plus and minus steps, and straightforward percentage and points conversions. Three habits keep them trustworthy:

  • We show our work. Each calculator explains its formula and walks through a worked example, so you can check the result by hand whenever you want to.
  • We respect that schools differ. Grading scales aren’t universal, so rather than pretend there’s one right answer, we explain the common variations and let you adjust the scale.
  • We keep it instant and private. The calculators run entirely in your browser, so nothing you enter is sent to us or saved anywhere. You can read the details in our privacy policy.

Why you can trust us

  • It’s free, with no account. You never have to sign up or log in to use a calculator.
  • Your numbers stay yours. Calculations happen on your device, so your grades never leave your browser.
  • It’s transparent. The formulas and examples sit right on the page, not behind a black box.
  • A real person stands behind it. The site is built and maintained by a named founder, not an anonymous brand.

What’s next
